Amplio’s popup boosting youtube.com to 250%, with presets from 50% to 600% and the limiter at work.

How it works

  1. Open a tab that plays sound, such as a video, a podcast or a call.

  2. Click the Amplio icon and drag the slider, pick a preset or type a level up to 600%. Alt+Shift+Up and Alt+Shift+Down work too.

  3. Turn on Remember for this site, and the level comes back every time you open it.

  4. Open the mixer to set every playing tab at once, or Sound for the equalizer, mono and balance.

What it does

  • Boost up to 600%

Make quiet videos, calls and podcasts loud enough with a slider, presets, the mouse wheel or a typed number, with fine steps below 10%.

  • A limiter, on by default

Keeps loud passages from distorting, with a Safe, Limiting or Clipping indicator.

  • Remembered for every site

Your level is applied when a page loads, reloads or navigates.

  • A mixer for every tab

Every tab playing sound, with its own slider, a mute button and a jump to the tab.

  • 5-band equalizer

Six presets: flat, bass boost, voice, treble, night-friendly and music.

  • Mono and balance

Mix down to mono, or shift the sound to the left or right.

  • Shortcuts and on-page display

Change the volume from the keyboard. A small display shows the level, even in fullscreen.

  • Honest about the limits

When a site blocks boosting, as DRM-protected streams do, Amplio tells you why instead of failing silently.

Private by design

Read the privacy policy

  • The sound of your tabs is processed inside your browser and never leaves it.
  • Its page script only looks for audio and video. It doesn't read text, forms or what you type.
  • No ads, no analytics, no tracking and no account.
  • Free use sends nothing anywhere.
