Dark mode for the sites you choose
Nightpage turns the websites you pick dark with one click, or makes every site dark except the ones you keep light. Pages are dark from the first frame, photos keep their colors, and nothing is tracked.
Shortcut: Alt+Shift+N

How it works
Install Nightpage and choose where it works: on all sites, or only on the sites you pick.
On any site, click the Nightpage button and turn on “Dark mode on this site”, or press Alt+Shift+N. It changes live, with no reload.
Pick a theme and adjust brightness, contrast, sepia or grayscale. Changes show as you move the sliders.
In Settings, choose when dark mode is on: always, with your system's dark mode, or during the hours you set.
What it does
One switch per site
Turn any site dark or light from the toolbar button, the right-click menu or Alt+Shift+N. No limit on sites.
No white flash
Sites you've made dark are dark from the first frame, before their styles load. Sites you keep light never flash dark.
Photos stay natural
Nightpage changes the page's colors, not your pictures. Photos and videos keep their colors, and text keeps WCAG AA contrast.
Smart or Filter mode
Smart mode converts each site's colors. If a site looks wrong, switch it to Filter mode. Google Docs uses Filter mode automatically.
Leaves dark sites alone
Sites that already have a dark design are detected and left as they are, unless you choose to darken them anyway.
Themes and sliders
Midnight, Black for OLED screens, Dim and High contrast, plus brightness, contrast, sepia and grayscale.
Schedules and pause
Dark always, with your system's dark mode, or during your own hours. Alt+Shift+P pauses Nightpage everywhere.
Copy and print as usual
Copied text and printouts keep the page's original colors, so dark colors never end up in your emails or documents.
Private by design
- No account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.
- Your site list and settings stay in your browser, and in your browser's own sync only if you turn it on.
- On sites that aren't dark, none of Nightpage's code runs.
- Its only requests re-read stylesheets that dark pages load from other sites, without cookies.
- It never writes to websites' own storage or cookies.
