RowRunner 隐私政策
本隐私政策仅提供英文版本。
RowRunner is a browser extension for Chrome, Edge and Firefox. It replays steps you define (click, fill, type, read values) on web pages you choose, over a list of pages or CSV rows, and shows the results as a table.
What we collect
Nothing. RowRunner has no account, no servers it reports to, no analytics, no tracking and no advertising.
What stays on your device
- The macros you create or import, and the inputs (URL lists, CSV rows) you add to them.
- Files you attach to an Upload file step, so the macro can upload them again. Each is kept with the macro and included when you export it.
- Run results: the values your macros read from pages, each row’s status and error, and the final page address. The free version keeps your last 5 runs.
- Your settings, such as the theme and the default timeouts and delays.
All of this is stored in your browser’s local extension storage (storage.local and IndexedDB). It isn’t synced between devices, and it’s deleted when you uninstall the extension or use Settings → Delete all data. Export your macros and results first if you want to keep them.
Values recorded from password fields are hidden in the interface while “Mask sensitive values” is on (the default). They are still stored on your device so the macro can replay them. If you’d rather not save a password in a macro, use a {{variable}} from your CSV instead.
Page access
RowRunner asks for access to websites the first time you record, test or run a macro, because your macros can run on any site you choose. It injects its code into a page only while you’re recording, testing or running, and it never reads pages in the background. You can remove the access at any time in Settings → Site access or in your browser’s extension settings.
Network requests
The extension makes no network requests of its own. Pages you open in a run load normally, as they would if you visited them yourself, with your own cookies. If a macro has an Upload file step set to download its file from an address (one you typed or one from a CSV column), RowRunner downloads that file from that address during the run, the same request your browser would make if you opened the address yourself. The file goes straight into the page’s upload field and isn’t sent anywhere else.
Permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
storage, unlimitedStorage | Keep your macros, inputs and run results on your device. Runs can have thousands of rows |
scripting | Load the step engine into a page, only while you record, test or run a macro |
activeTab | Act on the current tab when you start something from the panel or the keyboard shortcut |
sidePanel | Show RowRunner next to the page (Chrome and Edge) |
| Access to websites (optional) | Requested the first time you record, test or run, because your macros run on whichever sites you choose. You can remove it in Settings |
In Firefox, RowRunner opens in Firefox’s sidebar instead of a side panel. Runs take place in a runner tab of their own in every browser.
Pro
A paid plan (“Pro”) is planned but not available yet. If it launches, checking a license will be the only network request the extension makes for itself, and this policy will be updated before that happens.
Responsible use
You are responsible for following the terms of the websites you automate. RowRunner doesn’t solve captchas or try to hide from websites’ bot checks, and a row that meets a captcha or a sign-in check fails with a clear reason. It waits 1–2 seconds between rows by default, and you can change the delay.
