Politique de confidentialité de Analytics Blocker
Cette politique de confidentialité n’est disponible qu’en anglais.
Analytics Blocker is a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox that blocks analytics and tracking scripts. It is built to work entirely on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. The extension does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data, browsing history, page content or usage statistics. It contains no analytics, telemetry or advertising of its own, and it makes no network requests to us or to anyone else.
What is stored, and where
Your settings (blocking level, category and tracker choices, per-site rules and display preferences) are stored locally in your browser’s extension storage. A short-lived, per-tab list of which known tracker hosts a page contacted is kept in browser session storage so the popup can show what was blocked; it is cleared when the tab is closed or the browser session ends.
For the Statistics page, the extension keeps counts of blocked tracker requests in local extension storage: an all-time total, totals per tracker, and for each of the last 30 days the number blocked per tracker and per website (the website’s hostname only, never full addresses or page content). Older days are deleted automatically, private (incognito) windows are never counted, and you can delete all statistics at any time with “Reset statistics”.
None of this leaves your device. If you remove the extension, the data is removed with it.
You can export your settings to a file, import them again, or reset them to defaults at any time from the settings page.
Why the extension asks for the permissions it does
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Access to all websites | Redirecting blocked tracker scripts to harmless local stand-ins and patching tracker functions so that pages keep working. Page content is not read, stored or sent anywhere. |
declarativeNetRequest | Blocks requests to known tracking hosts using the browser’s built-in rule engine. |
webRequest (observation only) | Lets the popup show which known tracker requests were blocked or loaded on the current page, and counts blocked requests for the Statistics page. It never changes a request. |
scripting | Registers the small page scripts that stand in for blocked trackers. |
storage | Saves your settings and statistics on your device. |
alarms | Ends timed pauses (“pause for 1 hour”) on schedule. |
Paid features
A paid “Pro” plan is planned. When it launches, payments will be handled by an external payment provider; this policy will be updated before any account or payment data is handled. The free version will keep working without an account.
Children
The extension does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be published with the extension update and the date above will change.
